The tray uses a 4-by-7 gridfinity grid. I designed it so that I could slide it back and forth inside my desk, and I am very happy with the result.
This is a re-design of my first tray that only I asked for haha. Turns out you can learn a lot in just one iteration.
My specific desk has rods 1 cm in diameter that the tray is designed to attach to. There is no hardware required, and the tray can support decent weight from above - I wouldn't put anything fragile, or overtly heavy on top of it though.
Assembly Notes: In the photos is a picture of an exploded view to show where everything goes. The hanging hooks slide up from the bottom using a dove-tail, while the two identical bases can be combined with little clips. I experienced a nice and easy fit with the hanging hooks, however, the base clips are a little weak. Try to be careful - and understand that it will still hold well if one side of the clip is a little compromised.
I may re-design the clips one day, but my two bases are holding fine, and I don't need to sink any more precious filament into this project. My gridfinity bins were generated utilizing the Fusion 360 community add-on. I then changed the color of the last few layers in Bambu Studios for a pop of color.
If you do print it, then please share a picture! I made this for myself, but I'm sharing it for anyone who was also in search of it. It would just make me so happy to see someone else get some use out of it :D
