Please print and use with care, and read these instructions:

 PLA is NOT FOOD SAFE, and while I have occasionally used PLA Tampers, I cannot recommend them as microplastics can and will end up in your coffee. My final variation of this design uses a different material on the bottom, utilizing AMS. However, I am working on a multipart design with a base that can be printed separately in a different material. Currently, I am using PLA with my tamper, as I am satisfied with it, but I cannot recommend doing so. I have been printing a PETG bottom and while the PETG I use is not certified food safe, I have decided it is good enough for me.

The spring is not an easy print. Since the print is meant to move, it shakes and bends under the nozzle, creating distortions and points of failure in the spring. The print preset I made has been working well for me, but please let me know if any changes should be made, as it is still in development. It is important to print the spring parts slowly to avoid bending during printing.

The tamper is self-leveling but a work in progress. I do not know a ton about espresso and would love your feedback on the leveling feature (or any other parts of my design). It currently levels but there is a little play to it and I would be curious to know if it is good enough for you or needs a little work.
