A customizable breeder/isolation box for aquariums that is fully parametric and prints without supports. The model uses integrated FEMALE dovetail rails on the box and MALE locking dovetails on the hooks so you can slide, position, and remove the box securely from the tank rim—no glue, no screws. All key dimensions are parametric, and the file includes test blocks to dial in tolerance for your printer and filament.

• Size: width 60–500 mm, depth 50–500 mm, height 60–500 mm.
• Walls & ribs: wall thickness 2–8 mm; rib/gap for side and bottom slots; optional “touch bottom” mode for side slots.
• Rails with holes for dovetails: front/left enable, count, edge offset, rail height.
• Dovetails:  10×10 mm profile; adjustable spacing; separate clearance (head shrink) and lock_tolerance (stem grow) for print fit.
• Hooks: top bar length (rim thickness), top lip depth (outer overhang), hook thickness.
• Aquarium clearance: sets how high the box sits above the tank’s waterline.

Recommended print settings (FDM)

Material: Clear PETG suggested. 
Nozzle: 0.4 mm (works great), 0.6 mm also fine and will reduce print time considerably.

Printing & assembly

1. Print the test blocks and try slide-fit: adjust clearance (0.25–0.35 mm typical) and/or lock_tolerance (0.15–0.30 mm typical) until the dovetail slides smoothly with minimal wobble.
2. Print the box upright, open top up.
3. Print hooks flat (as generated).
4. Slide hooks onto the rail from the inside. For extra security a small amount of superglue can be used to permanently lock the hook to the box. Set aquarium_clearance before printing so the box top sits where you want relative to the water line.

Safety & use tips

• Rinse parts thoroughly before first use.
• Avoid metal- or copper-filled filaments.
• Inspect for sharp edges; sand lightly if needed.
• This is a hobby print; if you keep sensitive species, consider a quarantine test outside the main display first.
