Translucent Test Tube Decor

These 3D-printed test tubes are designed to showcase the beauty of translucent filament. When printed with clear PETG or highly translucent PLA, they create a visual effect that plays with light and shadow, making them suitable for home décor or as unique ornaments.

Design Highlights

The set includes two test tubes of different sizes, each designed to maximize the "glass-like" effect of clear filament:

• Large Test Tube: 25mm outer diameter, 18cm tall – suitable for holding dried flowers or as a decorative piece.
• Small Test Tube: 18mm outer diameter, 10cm tall – can double as a pen holder or a decorative element.

The design was optimized for transparency based on BambuLab's Translucent Filament guidelines, ensuring good light diffusion and clarity. The smooth surfaces and rounded bottoms enhance the light-scattering effect under various lighting conditions.

Additional Features

Included are magnetic holders designed to securely display the test tubes:

• 25mm Holder Set: Bottom holder (3cm x 3.5cm x 2.5cm), Top holder (3cm x 3cm x 1cm).
• 18mm Holder Set: Bottom holder (2.2cm x 2.7cm x 1.8cm), Top holder (2.2cm x 2.5cm x 1cm).

These holders use 6x2mm magnets for easy mounting and provide a simple way to display the test tubes.

Printing Recommendations

For the test tubes, use clear PETG or translucent PLA to achieve the intended visual effect. The holders can be printed with standard PLA using basic settings.

Note: The printed test tubes are not water-tight and should not be used for plant propagation - they are meant for decorative use only.
