I designed this Dual Spool Winder to control the mast on a miniature viking ship I built over a power wheels frame. The riggings are first tied to the left and right sides of the Yard then come down to loop through pulleys and wind around the spool in opposite directions. When the crank is turned, it winds one of the ropes and lets out the other one, which turns the sail.
There is also a locking pin that you will need, I just used a 5" nail and bent the top at 90 degrees.
This file uses 6 screws to attach the hub assembly to the substrate which you want it mounted to as well as 7 M4 threaded inserts and 7 M4 12mm screws.
I made a video showing the installation process found at this link

Steps to install:
- Heat press all 6 threaded inserts into the top of the hub assembly and the 1 threaded insert into the top of the main body handle
- Screw down the hub assembly
- Mark all 12 holes around the perimeter of the hub assembly
- Unscrew and remove the hub assembly, drill out the holes with a drill bit slightly larger than the holes and reattach hub assembly
- Place the main body over the hub assembly
- Place hub cap on top of the hub assembly and use 6 M4 screws to secure it to hub assembly
- Slide handle sleeve over the main body handle
- Use 1 M4 screw to attach handle cap to the top of the main body handle
