OpenSCAD Font Chooser & Tester

This tool was born out of a need: I wanted an easier way to preview all fonts installed in OpenSCAD—using custom text—right from the MakerWorld customizer. On top of that, I needed a practical way to test print the fonts: checking color contrast between filaments, real-world font sizes, and whether my nozzle could handle the detail (or if I needed to switch to 0.2mm).

Two modes available:

🔤 Font Chooser

Automatically applies your custom text to a large batch of fonts, so you can visually pick the best style.

• Fonts are shown in groups of ~100 to avoid overloading.
• With ~350 fonts in total, you can browse all of them in just a few clicks.
• Each font is numbered; the code file includes a full reference list.

🧪 Font Tester

Lets you test a specific font by its number, generating a compact plaque for real-world printing.

• Test up to 3 different font sizes at once.
• Choose where the text appears: top, bottom, or both sides—handy for checking print quality on textured beds or with fine details.
