Modular Button Box based on a cheap USB gamepad PCB (e.g. Famepad or Esperanza).
This project is a remix of an existing Arduino-based button box. Instead of using an Arduino, I reused the internal PCB of a budget gamepad, which works out-of-the-box as a USB HID controller.

All other parameters, dimensions and model parts remain unchanged from the original design.

It works great for sim racing, flight sims, or general game input. No programming is needed – just solder switches to the PCB contact points and you're done.

Two parts were modified:

Box height increased from 40mm to 60mm to fit taller components.

Front/top panel replaced with a fully blank version, so you can drill or burn your own custom button layout.
