I designed this SKÅDIS-compatible container to solve a small but persistent problem: loose items piling up on my desk. Batteries, screws, USB sticks, adapters — the kind of stuff that always disappears right when you need it. Instead of keeping them in a drawer or jar, I wanted something open, visible, and within arm’s reach.
This container hooks directly into the IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard and sits flush with the wall. The dimensions are modular, so you can place multiple side by side without wasting space. I’ve found it especially useful for storing AA and AAA batteries, but it’s equally handy for any small parts you use regularly.
The angled front makes it easy to grab things quickly, while the closed sides prevent anything from slipping out. It prints cleanly without supports, and with 8–10% infill (I used gyroid), it's more than sturdy enough for everyday use. PLA or PETG both work well — use whatever you have loaded.
Whether you're organizing a workshop, a maker wall, or just trying to keep your workspace tidy, this little tray adds functionality without fuss. A simple, satisfying print that does exactly what it needs to.
