I designed this spacer system to address a common problem with many patio umbrella bases: instability. The standard spacers that came with my umbrella bases were ineffective, causing the umbrella to tilt and even topple over during windy conditions, even when closed. This two-piece system provides a secure fit. The first component is a simple cylindrical spacer that slides into the umbrella base tube. The second, flanged piece sits at the top of the tube and features a clearance slot for the umbrella's thumbscrew, ensuring a tight and stable installation.
