I was walking to my friend’s house when it suddenly started raining. I had my everyday bag with me, and inside it as always was my trusty deck of playing cards. Unfortunately, the rain completely destroyed the original paper box. That moment sparked the idea to design and 3D print a custom case for my cards.

Inspired by the satisfying snap of a Zippo-style lighter, I modeled this case with a similar flip-lid mechanism. It’s sleek, secure, and super fun to open and close — especially if you're like me and enjoy that tactile experience.

This box is designed to fit standard Bicycle playing cards (2.5in x 3.5in x 16mm), and the latch has just the right amount of resistance: firm enough to stay shut, but easy to open.

NOTE* I do recommend a teensy drop of vegetable oil on the hinge… It makes a world of a diffrence.

NOTE* There are two profiles. One is designed for printers with a higher tolerance requirement after requests from the community. If you have printed before and saw that it did not fit properly try the new one!!! 
NOTE* The new update also seems to be having problems with cards fitting so i will upload an updated one with more space and upgraded hinge shortly
