I started to hate I need to clean the “pre-filtration” basket after every vacuuming of the pool - as that is where leaves and larger mess would get collected and it would block the flow.

So I designed this simple 73mm insert for the filtration inlet - it works for both - the normal function of the pool and for the vacuuming and prevents any objects entering the filtration systems. 

I've added two “flaps” for easy removal.

I am using the gyroid version, but just in case it proves bad, I kept the version with the basic “mesh” (rectalinear infiill).
