"Buddy" Door Stopper
This door stopper was primarily designed to be printed in TPU, which provides the flexibility and grip required for reliable everyday use. When printed in TPU, the model can slightly deform under load, increasing friction with the floor and allowing the stopper to hold the door more effectively.
The model can also be printed in PETG or PLA, however, in most cases this significantly reduces its effectiveness. Rigid materials tend to slide on many floor surfaces, which limits their practical value as a door stopper. That said, performance always depends on the type of floor surface — on some surfaces, PETG or PLA may still provide sufficient grip and work acceptably.
For TPU printing, it is strongly recommended to use infill below 50%. Lower infill allows the model to flex as intended, which is a key functional aspect of the design. High infill or fully solid prints will reduce flexibility and negatively affect performance.
If you don't like the "non-smooth surface" of the door stopper and lack experience with slicer settings, simply disable this feature by unchecking a single box:

This model was originally created specifically for a TPU-focused design contest, with material behavior and flexibility being core design constraints.
For those who have printed the figure, user @thiz3D has created a wonderful model — the “Holder: Comfy Sleeping Bag” — so you’ll never lose sight of it. Huge thanks to him! Happy printing!
