Parametric Torus Cable Winder

This is a cable winder in a shape of a torus. It's parametric (you can modify it in Parametric Model Maker) and features a crank. The winder has one fixed end (the one inside the torus) and one moving end which is outside. For the cableThickness parameter, you have to supply the actual thickness of your cable with no tolerances. The innerDiameter & outerDiameter parameters should be self-explanatory.

When you download and open the 3mf from the Parmetric Model Maker, you have to split it into objects. To do that:

1. Select the model

    

   

    

2. Click “Split to Objects”

    

   

    

3. Lay out the models similar to the original 3mf and enable the brim for the crank handle.

    

4. Enable normal support for the center piece

Assembly

1. Here's everything you need:

    

   

    

2. Put the center piece into the body

    

   

    

3. Insert the cable like so:

    

   

    

4. Close it with the lid

    

   

    

5. Press in the crank handle

    

   

    

6. Finally, do the first winding
