Round Miniature Base Parametric Customizer

There are a TON of base options out there for your minis. I get that. But.. Sometimes I just want a plain, unadorned base that I can base out or kit bash myself. Also, sometimes the standard sizes don't work for me, especially for combining minis, or adding terrain pieces to it.

So, off to fusion I went.

I created a completely parametric round base designer that lets you set all of the parameters to create your custom sized round base, with or without a magnet pocket on the bottom! You can also customize the size of the magnet pocket so you can use magnets you already have and don't have to buy yet one more size you didn't have just to fit a model you downloaded (I can't be the only one who does that…)

You can customize:
- The diameter of the bottom of the base
- The diameter of the top of the base (make the same size for a straight walled base, or different sizes to create a custom lofted side wall)
- The thickness of the base (make sure it is thick enough to accomodate the size of magnet pocket you decide to use!)
- The diameter of the magnet pocket
- The thickness of the magnet pocket (set this to 0 if you don't want a magnet pocket)
- The edge roundover on the top edge AND the bottom edge (set to .01 for no roundover)
- The tolerance of the diameter and depth of the magnet pocket to accomodate your settings, filament, and particular printing needs (I often need a .02 to .04 tolerance on pockets to accomodate magnets). Larger tolerance for looser fit, smaller tolerance for a tighter fit.

I print mine top down with the magnet pocket up so that the texture from my buildplate is on the top of the base, and, so I don't need supports. I find the texture makes for a nice gluing surface, and holds primer and paint well for a nice finish.

I also included a printer profile from my A1 that includes a basic 25mm/30mm base and a 50mm/60mm sized base, both with a magnet pocket for a 15mm x 1.79mm magnet.
