Descrição
Salt box (or salt cellar) designed in the fashion of an antique version my grandparents kept by the stove. It’s generously sized to hold a good amount of salt and fits a spoon inside for easy scooping.
The hinged lid stays open while in use and drops shut with a satisfying clunk—ideal for quick, one-handed access while cooking.
I designed the lid to hinge using M3 10mm screws for reliability, but I’ve also included a printable hinge pin option(untested for durability).
To keep the look clean, I added small press-fit caps to cover the screw heads.
Simple, practical, and full of classic charm—perfect for salt or any bulk seasoning.
Print profiles:
There are two print profiles: a standard one, and another with built-in corner brims. While I haven’t had corner lifting in my own testing, some makers have reported it. Because the box is fairly large and uses a lot of filament, shrinkage as the layers cool can sometimes cause the corners to lift. The brimmed version is designed to help anchor the corners more securely. These brims can’t be removed in Bambu Studio, so if you don’t want them, stick with the standard profile. If you do use them, you’ll need to trim them off after printing.
