Description

The latest design for this small rugged weather-proof enclosure for small electronics projects.

I filled the groove in the body of the enclosure with JB weld liquid gasket to create a gasket, wait 24 hours to set! 

The ridge on the lid will compress the gasket and create a water-tight seal!

I've also included a printable gasket component if you want to print a gasket from TPU!

This design also has a removeable mounting plate to screw components down to!

You could also create your own custom mounting plate with screw-hole locations!

It's recommended to print in at least PETG filament for outdoor use!

4 of the clasp are needed per box, and they are attached to the lid with 20mm M3 bolts and nuts.

4x 20mm bolts are also used as clasp-points on the body.

The fusion 360 file is available for download, you can also use the Maker Lab designer to change some of the basic dimensions.

box inner w: The interior width of the box

box inner l: The interior length of the box

box bottom h: The interior height of the bottom body of the box

box top h: The interior height of the top lid of the box

mounting plate h: The clearance between the bottom of the box and the bottom of the mounting plate

The M3 mounting plate screw holes are 3mm inset from the corners of the box.

Therefore the distance between the center of the mounting plate screw holes are:

Lengthwise: (box_inner_l - 6 mm)

Widthwise: (box_inner_w - 6 mm)
