Mini Train Watch

I feel very honored that the Diorama Contest is using my Functional Diorama series as an example image.
Now, for all fans of the Mini Diorama series, here comes a very special model – the Mini Train Watch 😊👍

Insta Reel
One of the smallest powered trains now gets a micro version.
No one ever has to leave the house without their MiniTrain model on their wrist again!
(Of course, this is just for fun!)
The strap is optional, and the model can also be used without it.
A great gift for model-building fans and kids.
Super quick and easy to print, and compatible with the existing trains in the series.

I colored three different diorama designs as print profile:

Greenland
Snowy
→ New Mini Benchy added, for up to 5 boats
→ New TPU95A band solution

You can choose any train from the MiniTrain Collection

Printing:

Band:

→ Basic Profile: Uses TPU for AMS → I tryed PETG as well. It works but it is not comfortable. (TPU95A is not working! )

→ TPU95A Solution Profile: Added a separate print profile with different housing and band as solution for TPU, which works awesome! Use 2 pieces of filament in the tiny holders.

Following PLA Basic Filaments are used

Greenland:

Bambu Green

Brown

Black

Silver

White

Snowy:

White

Brown

Black

Silver

Other colors are possible of course, look what you have in stock.

I think it could be easy done with single color, if you want to color from hand.

I printed with a 0,4mm nozzle! Iam very pleased with the result but you can try a 0,2 nozzle as well.

Assembly:

You will need 6pcs Ø4x2 Magnets and Glue (For Benchys you will need Ø3x2)

Insert the magnets into the train and wagon. All with the same polarity direction.

Insert the magnets and use on the other side the train to hold them in place. Arrange them approximate like shown.

Put the hand-wheel above the magnets. Make sure that all 3 magnets are captured from the 3 slots of the hand-wheel.

Put the housing over the base and the wheel. You can add a tiny bit of glue in the edges.

Add the terrain and the trees. Again use some glue in the edges

Put the band in angle into the slot on the side

Pull it down slightly until you feel a good fitting.
