First of all: a mini pinball was not my idea! The original idea and design came from @Phoenixfox. Please visit his page: [https://makerworld.com/de/models/671966-2-screen-working-mini-virtual-pinball?from=search#profileId-599764](https://makerworld.com/de/models/671966-2-screen-working-mini-virtual-pinball?from=search#profileId-599764)
Since his model is glued together, which I don't like to much, I decided to do a completely new model. My model is screwed together for easy assembly/disassembly. I also decided against a 3.5" display, I'm using a 4.3 Display with integrated speaker connection, so there is no need for a separate amplifier. Btw, the speakers were a recommendation of @jsm174. Thanks for that!
The PC can be switched on by hole in the base plate, so it's not required to install a remote switch. The USB-C cable to power the PC can be plugged in also from below, this is why I'm using an angled USC-C connector.
There are still some parts which need to be glued! For the side rails I used double sided tap, same for the back box front to the display.
The PC is running Visual Pinball (version 10.8) with PinballY as frontend. Setting up the software is NOT a 1h Job, it takes some time to understand, how the different software packages work together. Big advantage, all software is free and you can find 1000s of simulated pinballs. The buttons for the cabinet are connected to the USB joystick Encoder and I used JoyToKey (shareware (7.5$)) to assign them. I'm strongly recommending to set-up the software with standard size displays! Doing it on the assembled pinball is painful and I'm sure you'd need new glasses when done.
Attached is also a wiring diagram (use on your on risk).
Most of the parts can be printed w/o support, exception are the Back Box frame and the PC holder.
I did not want to use stickers for the cabinet sides, so my design is a multi-color print. Make sure to assign your preffered colors before printing the side panels and the back box front.
Caution, the playfield screen is extremly fragile. Please be careful when working with it.
