Easy customizable OpenSCAD electronic project box V2.3 by pbtec

You’ll need to download the free, opensource OpenSCAD software from [https://openscad.org/](https://openscad.org/) and install it. Once installed, open the ".scad" file in Openscad. Activate Customizer under View/Customizer and have fun experimenting!

This is a highly configurable regular box. See the pictures for what is possible.

Highly configurable:
-holes for self tapping screw
-holes for Threaded inserts (Brass hot melting insert nuts)
-Additional screws on long sides for big boxes
-mounting bottom holes for 2 pcb 
-mounting lid holes for 2 pcb
-Countersink or normal screw head
-Corner radius up to round cases
-Chamfer the cylinder screws downwards to utilize the entire width of the housing base
-3D printer friendly, no support needed

Use Openscad customizer (Menu Window/unselect "hide customizer") to customize this box. Choose "Description only"at the very top of the customizer to improve readability.
I'm aware that sometimes, when using too big or too small parameters, there are some rendering issues. To prevent such issues change only  o n e  parameter at once and check the result.

Additional configurability: 
- Use the first 4 modules to add objects or to cut out holes. There are already some examples there where you can uncomment.
- If you're not familiar with OpenSCAD, you can also export the stl file from Openscad (F6 then F7). Then Import the stl file into your best known 3d program to make holes for example.
- You can also make the holes afterwards with the drilling machine. But then I recommend 100% Infill.

I prefer the brass hot melting insert nuts which are not knurled 1-2mm on one side. This allows the nut to be better positioned/centered. I also measure the diameter on this side for the hole size in the plastic.
