This is a little toy plane I designed to enter into the “Chillin'Summer 2025” contest. It's 9 ½ inches long and 8 wide, and was designed to be able to be printed on smaller printers, such as the A1 Mini, so as many people as possible can print it. I recommend using a somewhat heavy-duty rubber band, like the one in the GIF, for the best flights. If you don't have a big rubber band, you can also use multiple smaller ones.

-Quite durable, especially for such thin wings

Printing settings:

For the fuselage, very specific settings are needed to balance it for the best flight. 

The fuselage print settings should be:
Top shell thickness: 0.7 mm

Bottom shell thickness: 0.7 mm

Sparse infill: 5%

To balance the plane, a modifier is also needed at the front of the fuselage. It goes from the start of the main wing cutout to the front of the plane. The only setting to change for this modifier is Sparse Infill: 100% (Rectilinear). I noticed a lot of warping around this modifier area, so good bed adhesion is needed for wherever you place the nose of the plane. (I had to use glue to get it to stick). A picture of the modifier placement is above for reference. (If you don't want to manually add the modifier and change the settings, all of my print profiles have them set)

Assembly:

Tail: The tail is press-fit, and it's pretty tight. If you can't press it in easily, you can get it on as far as you can with your hands, then place the plane on a flat surface with the right side down to make it easier push it on the rest of the way. 

Wings: Hold the wings with the protrusions down, bend them in the same direction as the cutouts on the fuselage, then slide them into the cutouts and release the bending force when the wing is in the right place (GIFs of this above)
