Problem solution for a tripping hazard at our pool:
We needed a cover for our pool and the supply and return lines of the water treatment system.
Anyone can buy one, but you can't make one yourself!
Approach, the 1x1 of 3D printing:
- Step 1: Record the dimensions and create a sketch
- Step 2: Then create the CAD in Onshape and print it out
- Step 2.1: Material selection → outdoor area, resilient, UV-resistant, exposed to the weather (rain, temperatures 5-35°)
- Step 3: Print in ABS material via the P1S
- Step 4: Test, it fits!
- Step 5: Repeat Step 3 twice more, for a total width of approximately 760mm
This "cable bridge, cable bridge" can easily be extended and, for example, accommodate 2 cables (36mm diameter each), similar to this one.
A terminal for these cables is also still being created and will soon be available for printing.
Best printing material for outdoor areas:
- ASA
- ABS
- PETG
