Ever wanted to cosplay Brook from One Piece, Well now your chance to become one of the straw hats! Most of that do cosplay Brook do run into a common problem. The Mask you wear most of the time only has one look. Notice this being an issue for me when going to get photos done of my cosplay. I can only get so many photos done before they all looked the same. I decided to change this for people wanting to cosplay Brook and be able to express themself more. I'm here to introduce the Brook Mask System. There is 3 different systems to choose from and 8 different faces to use with them. Below will go into some more detail for each system.

System 1: Closed Mouth System

This version is to give the mask a closed mouth look.  The starting file comes with 3 parts for this look. Upper harness, Lower Jaw, and basic face.

System 2: Open Mouth System

This version is to give the mask a open mouth look.  The starting file comes with 3 parts for this look. Upper harness, Lower Jaw, and basic face.

System 3: Moveable System

This version allows the jaw to move up and down using a rubber band to hold jaw in place.  The starting file comes with 5 parts for this look. Upper harness, Lower Jaw, 2 pegs, and basic face. (Warning if you want to talk using this version you will need to coat the inside with a smooth finish like resin to give it better movement. May want to attach something to bottom of chin to help support as well. No guide on chin attachment. Didn't use one)

Assembly Instruction:

Closed and Open Mouth system:

Following items needed

1. Glue
2. 8mm x 3mm magnets (18 of them. More if you download other faces. 9 more for each face.) Warning magnets tight fit. If resize smaller get 6mm x 3mm magnets instead
3. 1.5 inch Elastic band

Instructions: 

1. Match pegs of lower jaw and upper harness and glue together.

 2.  Add magnets to the back of the face and to the harness. Make sure you put magnets in right direction when assembly. Very tight fit shouldn't need glue. Depending on setting may need to dremel holes a little or have a rubber mallet to help put in.

3. Add elastic band to the side of the harness. You will notice holes on the side for it.

Moveable System:

Following Items need

1. Glue( only if you want to glue magnets in or pegs.)
2. 8mm x 3mm magnets (18 of them. More if you download other faces. 9 more for each face.) Warning magnets tight fit. If resize smaller get 6mm x 3mm magnets instead
3. 1.5 inch Elastic band

4. small rubber band for hair( 6 of them)

    

Instructions:

1. Gather 6 hair band, lower jaw and 2 pegs.

   

      2. Add 3 rubber bands to top of each peg.

     3. attach pegs into lower jaw with rubber bands. Make sure not to get snag on sides

4. grab upper harness. You will notice holes at the bottom to put jaw in.

5. Slide Jaw into holes.  You will notice window on the side. This is to help guide rubber bands. (recommend small screw driver or thread to tie rubber bands together to help)

6. Loop the 3 rubber band on each side around the peg on the side of the harness.

7.  Add magnets to the back of the face and to the harness. Make sure you put magnets in right direction when assembly. Very tight fit shouldn't need glue. Depending on setting may need to dremel holes a little or have a rubber mallet to help put in.

8. Add elastic band to the side of the harness. You will notice holes on the side for it.

Extra Info:

Setting for printer

10% infill recommend rectilinear

3 wall loops

35% angle support tree enabled

recommend printing harness in up right position. Will use more filament for support but less sanding at the end.

all model printed at .20mm

Circumference of my head is 23.5 use that if you wanting to scale

Final Words:

This just about it for the Brook Mask System. Worked on this project for about 6 months to get it where it is now. I truly hope people enjoy this and to see more cosplays. Thank you everyone for taking the time to check this project out. Here some silly pic of me testing out mask system
