My first ever model.

I had a need for a tool that could keep my magnet placement in the correct orientation, and although there are many options out there that keep correct magnet polarity, but they all approach from above, which is difficult for my fat fingers when the build plate is still high in the enclosed frame!

They also need to be printed in one polarity or the other (so one of each) and only work for a specific size (so now you need two of each size)

My solution is a simple stick with an embedded 6x2mm magnet in the end. Printed in 2 colours and marked “North” and “South”
It works with every magnet size, and makes polarity matching idiot proof… well maybe just foolproof… there's no telling what an idiot can be truly capable of! :D

All you have to do is keep the South side down (or whatever your preference is) and the magnet will only attach one way.

It's quick to print, with a pause to insert a 6x2mm magnet, and a single colour change.
I did it in red and blue PETG because that's what I had on hand, but it really doesn't matter what you use so long as it makes sense to you.
