This is a 3D-printed version of Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe, a strategic twist on the classic game. The board consists of 9 mini tic-tac-toe boards arranged in a 3x3 grid, forming one large meta-board.

Design & Print Details:

• No supports required – all parts optimized for clean FDM printing

• Printed in three colors, each from a separate build plate – would love to see some other people's variants with color, I think clever aesthetic choices could improve the playability of the game, so I went with rounded edges, kind of “chunky” pieces that maintain symmetrical design (i.e., NOT letters or numbers in any font) and feel better when placing them during game and cleaning up at the end; I used four colors like this:

   

  • Board frame and grid (I used Black with some White outlines)
  • X pieces, about 50 small and 6 large (Yellow)
  • O pieces, small and large (Blue)

   

• Snap-fit piece sizing ensures secure placement and satisfying tactile play
• Scaled for desktop use, easy to handle, and resettable for repeat games

Recommended Settings:

• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Infill: 15–25%
• Print three separate plates for clean multi-color assembly

Great for teaching game theory, strategy, or just enjoying a more complex take on an old favorite. I recommend using speed or timed variants, it's more fun with a faster pace!
