3D Model Description (Universal Articulated Smartphone Holder)
This 3D model represents a fully articulated universal smartphone holder, designed to be mounted on flat surfaces using a clamp system (Figure 2). The entire structure is composed of modular elements and 3D-printable mechanical joints.
Key Features:

Modular Truss Structure
The arms are designed with a triangular truss geometry to ensure both lightness and rigidity. Each segment is connected by rotating joints, allowing articulation in multiple directions.- Multiple Articulated Joints
The model includes four main joints, enabling 360° and 180° motion in various directions. The joints are secured using 3D-printed threaded pins, typically integrated into the design for direct, support-free printing. Each joint features interlocking teeth to maintain the desired position (Figure 1). - Threaded Clamp for Desktop Mounting
At the base of the holder is a threaded clamp that secures the device to tables or desks of varying thickness (Figure 2: up to 5 cm).
Universal Phone Holder
The end of the arm features a clamp compatible with smartphones of various sizes. The side walls are designed to apply a secure grip without damaging the device. The phone can rotate 360° on its axis, allowing both portrait and landscape orientations. The clamp can hold phones with a width ranging from 68 mm to 101 mm and a maximum thickness of 15 mm.
(If you have special size requirements, feel free to contact me — I’ll do my best to accommodate you) (Figure 3).
Compatibility & Uses:
- Compatible with most smartphones
- Ideal for video recording, streaming, video calls, or as a secondary screen
Also great for 3D printer setups as a bench accessory (e.g. for controlling Bambu Studio or similar)

Print Optimization:
- Support-free printing thanks to simplified geometries and interlocking designs
- All parts fit on a single print bed
- Assembly via press-fit or 3D-printed screws (no glue required)
- Designed for printing in PLA or PETG, with relatively rigid arms to avoid bending
- For a stronger hold, I recommend printing only the screws with the following thread profile: *0.20mm Strenght @BBL X1C
Assembly Instructions:
- Clamp
- Male/female joint
- Mechanical arms: start with the one with two holes, followed by two with a single hole each, and finally the small one (total of 4 arms + 5 3D-printed screws)
- Phone clamp (2 parts + 2 small 3D-printed screws)
