Customizable Name Topper (Pencil / Straw / Drawstring Charm)

This fully customizable/parametric OpenSCAD script lets you generate personalized “name toppers” that fit round object—pencils, pen, straws, hoodie drawstrings, tumbler straw, any other straw and more. 

Just open the Customizer, type your desired text, choose font (any language, including right to left languages), choose hole diameter, adjust hole placement, text or base size and click Generate and click Download

Key Features:

• Universal Fit: Set hole diameter to match pencils (≈7.8 mm), drawstrings (4–6 mm), tumbler straw (10–12 mm), or any custom tube.
• Hole Orientation: Choose hole orientation → "FRONTBACK" for a left–right tunnel (pencil toppers) or "TOPBOTTOM" for an up–down tunnel (straw/drawstring charms).
• Hole Position Control: Fine-tune hole x and hole y to shift your tunnel anywhere under the text.
• Any Language: Enter Latin, Hebrew, Arabic. Toggle RTL for proper alignment.
• Adjustable Outline & Depth: Control letter height, outline margin, base height, and letter thickness to suit your aesthetic.

How to Customize:

1. Click the “Customize” button

   

2. Edit Parameters in the Customize section

    

3. Click the “Generate” button

   Check the hole location and adjust hole settings if needed

    

4. Click the “Download” button

   Once satisfied with the preview, download model.

    

5. 3D Print Tips
   1. Layer Height: 0.12–0.16 mm is ideal for capturing fine letter details.
   2. Infill: 10% works well.
   3. Filament Colors: Print the outline/base in one color and the raised text in a contrasting color to make the letters pop.
   4. Could be printed without AMS

Some example use cases:

• Hoodie Drawstring Charms (hole  ≈  4–6 mm) — personalize hoodies without sewing tags.
