3D Printable Clickable Pen
This is a 3D-printable click pen designed for a straightforward printing and assembly process. It features a minimalist body with a diamond-textured grip. The design uses the ink cartridge and spring from a standard BIC BU3 pen (or similar) and a small piece of a toothpick, making it an accessible project.
Required Parts
You will need to print all the included 3D models and source a few non-printed components.
3D Printed Parts:
- Main Body (Body1)
- Clicker (Body6)
- Clip (Body3)
- Pen Tip (Body2)
- Ink Cartridge: The black ink cartridge from a BIC BU3 pen or similar.
- Spring: The spring from the same BIC BU3 pen.
Retaining Pin: A standard wooden toothpick that you will need to cut to size.

Assembly Instructions
- Assembly is quick and straightforward. Follow these steps carefully:
- Prepare the Parts: Print all the components. Take a toothpick and cut a small piece to act as the retaining pin (use the slot on the Clicker part as a guide for the length).
- Assemble the Tip: Slide the 3D-printed Pen Tip onto the front end of the BIC ink cartridge.
- Insert into Body: Guide the ink cartridge assembly, tip first, into the main pen Body.
- Add the Spring: Drop the spring into the back (non-tip) end of the Body.
- Assemble the Clicker: Slide the Clip onto the Clicker.
- Insert the Mechanism: Place the Clicker assembly into the back of the pen, pressing it against the spring.
- Secure with Pin: Align the slot on the Clicker with the opening on the Body and insert the cut piece of toothpick. This acts as a retaining pin to hold the mechanism in place.
- Final Press-Fit: With the pen in the retracted (non-writing) position, stand it up on a solid, flat surface with the pen tip pointing down. Push firmly down on the clicker end of the pen.
