Description
This 3D printed beaker shaker is a compact, efficient and cheaper mixing platform designed for laboratory use. It was designed for smooth and consistent motion, the shaker features a rotating or orbital platform supported by precision ball bearings (6003), minimizing friction and ensuring stable operation during extended use.
The motion is driven by a readily available TT gear motor from the Maker's Supply, delivering steady torque at 60 RPMs ideal for mixing chemical solutions without splashing. The shaker platform accommodates standard beaker sizes and can be customized for specific vessel dimensions.

The shaker was printed with PLA materials. The only non-printed parts needed are:
- TT Geared motor with USB (Maker's Supply)
- 6003 Bearings (6 pcs) (Can also be printed. File included in the 3mf)
- M3 6mm (6pcs), M3 22mm (2pcs) and M4 16mm (4pcs) screws and nuts.
Assembly
The assembly instruction is included in the attached pdf as well as here:
Step 1

Place the TT DC motor in the bottom case and fasten it with 2pcs M3 22mm screw. The screw is optional as the motor stays snug within the housing. Place 4 M4 nuts in the 4 pockets for later. Do not flip the case as the nut may fall.
Fit a 6003 bearing in the top casing, and before placing on the bottom casing insert the rotating base through the top casing. Make sure the rotating base mates with the motor shaft.
Step 2

For the next step first insert the top half of the bearing housing and put the horizontal shaft into the vertical shaft. Insert retaining pin (Optional)
Insert the bearing into the horizontal shaft and close the bearing housing with all 4 bearings. Only 2 bearings are shown for demo purpose.
Step 3
Now insert the shaft of the Bearing housing holder into the two bearing as shown below and use M4 25mm screws to secure them.

Step4
Now install the top container with M3 6mm countersink screws. Minimum of 2 screws are recommended. The beakers or any fluid containers can be zip tied or secured using a durable string. Connect the TT motor wiring to the power source and Enjoy!

This shaker is ideal for DIY lab setups, science education, or small-scale research environments, this beaker shaker provides a low-cost, open-source alternative to commercial lab shakers.
Any feedback and suggestions for improvement is always welcome! Thank you and happy printing!
