Weeks ago, I was accused by someone, not Nintendo, saying I copyrighted this design from someone else's design.

For several weeks, I had this design blocked and the points removed.

Thankfully, I provided the evidence required by makerworld, showing that I created this design myself. Makerworld restored both my design and points.

• I must thank makerworld for explaining why my design was blocked and telling me how I can unblock it. They handled everything in a professional and timely manner.

This design is very special to me because  it was one on my very first designs I created myself and which I printed out on my very first 3d printer, Qidi Tech's X-one[2] in 2018.

I have included the evidence I provided to makerworld here on this page as well.

• Please, do not make me go through this experience again on this specific design, once again.

I understand that Copyright use a powerful tool one can use. However, in my specific case, I think it was incorrectly used because the design I created was something extremely easy to create by anyone, its not something unique.

• I have seen cases were Copyright should be used when the same 3d dragon design was uploaded by multiple people without giving credit to anyone. Its rather apparent someone copied someone else.

My design just uses 4 N letters. There is nothing unique to the letter N. Of course, if someone else wanted create this logo, it will look nearly identical to mine.

The difference between my version and a future version by someone else is letter thickness and height/width of letter N.

• if someone creates this logo in the future, I would not use copyright against them.

The same issue would happen if 2 separate people recreate the logo for 3M. Both version would look very similar because its just a letter and a number. There is nothing unique about them.

I am happy this experience has been resolved and is now behind me. I now understand what it feels like to be on the receiving side of a copyright claim.

Remember, whenever you create something, whatever it is, documentation is key. Take videos, pictures or whatever information you can.  I was able to win this because I had documentation for my stuff.

Copyright is a powerful thing, be careful whenever you plan to use it.

I am a fan of the N64 and decided to make the logo for the console.

It is 3 cubic inches or 76.2 cubic mm wide

• Supports are not really needed
• I suggest a 10% cubic infill for strength
