Modelo 3D ChillSpike - Stackable Can Cooler por Mantis Toboggan no MakerWorld

Descrição

ChillSpike – the stackable can-chilling system built for summer domination.

Each insulator holds a layer of ice around a can. When you finish your drink, move it to the bottom of the frozen tower, and screw the lid onto the next one. Keep the cold ones coming without ever leaving your seat! Perfect for the beach, poolside lounging, tailgating, or hiking (yes, you can use it as a walking stick). Just freeze water inside the insulated container, twist on the lid, and lock it into the base. When one can is done, move it to the bottom and twist open the next icy treasure.

Tailgating Power Move:
Print it in your team’s colors and wield a vertical six-pack tower of frozen glory—a bold declaration of loyalty and hydration, guaranteed to rattle the opposing fans.

I’d highly appreciate any likes, boosts, downloads, or feedback!

Printing Tips:

The print is easy overall, but here are some notes for best results:

General Recommendations:

  • PLA works fine, but a more UV- and heat-resistant filament is recommended for outdoor use.
  • Lighter colors are best—they reflect heat and keep drinks cooler.

For the Spike Base:

  • Use 3+ walls and high infill % for strength and durability.
  • This part gets buried in sand or used as a base, so make it solid. Can be gently hammered into sand or soft ground

Insulator Section:

  • You can print the insulator plate with or without the handle
  • Customizing is easy: Use the Text or Paint tool in Bambu Studio to add names, logos, or anything else.
  • I used PLA for color variety, but again, something stronger and more UV/heat resistant is ideal.
  • Recommended print settings to keep it watertight
    • 3 walls
    • High infill %
    • Tuned extrusion settings
  • Supports required:
    • I used Support Painting to disable supports inside the upper cavity—otherwise, removal is nearly impossible.
    • Because of this, use slow bridging speeds to prevent sagging.

I used 30 mm/s with PLA, but optimal speed depends on your filament.

Screws & Handle:

  • Only needed if you're printing the handle version.
  • A brim may help with the small screws.
  • Don’t overtighten the screws—it can strip the threads.

How to Use It:

  1. Unscrew the bottom cap of the insulator.
  2. Fill with water to about ¾ full (approx. 1 inch below the threads). Too much water would expand when freezing and can crack the container or make the bottom hard to unscrew.
  3. If you plan to stack ChillSpikes, only fill about halfway before freezing.
    • This allows space for each can.
    • Bonus: the cold can below helps keep the one above chilled.
  4. Freeze upside-down
  5. Put your favorite beverage in the insulator, screw the lid on, and enjoy!
  6. Leave me a like, comment, or picture of your print so I can “cheers” to you!
