🐾 Reinforced Cat Tree Base Mount – for Heavy Cats

After my cat outgrew the original support of our cat tree (yes, he's a bit... chunky), I designed this custom reinforced base mount to keep things safe and stable. This model replaces or upgrades the base connection between the vertical pole and the base platform of most standard cat trees.

🔩 Specs:

• Designed for a standard 70mm (7 cm) cardboard scratching post tube
• Features 8 screw holes for easy mounting to the base
• Works with standard wood screws / nails with a tip
• Internal tube diameter fits snugly, external flange provides high lateral strength

🖨️ Print Info:

• Tested in PLA but can be printed in PETG/ABS for added strength
• No supports needed
• Recommended infill: 25%-40% (Grid or Gyroid)
• Orientation: print as-is (flat flange on the bed)

💡 Installation tip:
I used standard pointed screws to fasten the flange directly into the wooden base of the cat tree. Holds up very well even under the weight of my cat sleeping at the top level!
