I designed this replacement drum for 2" low-profile horizontal blinds. This part is responsible for holding the ladder string and rolling to tilt the blind slats when rotated by the hex or square rod inside the headrail.
It is designed for strength, since I have found this part to be the most commonly broken component inside older blinds. The original parts are sometimes quite thin plastic and appear to turn very brittle and just disintegrate under the tension of the ladder strings which hold the weight of the slats.
I suggest printing in PLA Plus/Pro, or PETG using the orientation in the print profile and STL with supports for the bottom.
This drum is designed to fit the hex-shaped rods found in my blinds, but I also designed a version for the square shaped rods which are about 4mm in diameter.
I have iterated this design 4 or 5 times in order to dial in fitment, as well as getting it to work clearance-wise in the multiple types of original cradle parts I have come across. They will rotate a little roughly at first, but they loosen up with a bit of use.
I have also designed replacement cradles if needed, which can be found here:
You should check your cradles carefully, as I have found them to contain hairline cracks pretty often, and removing or installing a drum can sometimes break older ones as well.
See my profile for other blinds replacement parts.
Hopefully this helps some folks!
