Sliding Compartment Organizer

A compact storage case with a smooth-sliding lid that retracts into the side of the unit. Great for cable storage, everyday carry items, or general desk organization. Optional gridfinity support makes it even more versatile.

Overview

The print profile includes everything you need to build one complete organizer:

• 2 case options: Smooth Edges or Knurled Edges (choose one)
• 1 cover/lid (shared by both case styles)
• 2 insert bases (choose regular or gridfinity version)
• Gridfinity bins in common sizes (1x4, 1x2, 1x1, 2x2)

Important: The print profile includes both knurled and smooth case styles — be sure to select the one you want before slicing.

• Layer Height: 0.2mm
• Estimated Print Time: ~9 hours for a full set

Assembly Notes

No glue or hardware required.

1. Insert the base (gridfinity or regular) into the case.
2. Slide the lid into the track from the open side — the track only allows insertion in one direction for strength.
3. Once the lid is fully inserted, press-fit the cap piece into place.
   • The cap only fits one way. Align the internal guides and press in gently.
   • To remove, pull straight out slowly to avoid stressing the clips.
