Introduction

Hold your commonly used tools at an angle for quick access and quick return with these Gridfinity compatible tool bins!

Bin options

I have included various different bin options in the print profiles to get started. Use the measure tool in the slicer to see which one may be suitable for you.

If none of the bins are quite right for you, well, it's very easy to make new ones with any CAD software. Simply extrude a few rectangles and circles into the provided STEP files of blank bins, add a few fillets, and you're done!

I prefer the 2x2 bins myself as they offer the most modularity at the cost of some space efficiency but I have included blanks for the larger ones as some may prefer them. If you would like to share your customised bins, feel free to upload them as print profiles here but please include good pictures and a description for others!

Print Material

• PLA works great.

Print Settings

• Any standard profile.
• All overhangs are gentle and all bridging is minor.
• Use glue in corners if you are not confident of your first layer adhesion.
• Turn off the AUX fan to reduce warping risk.

Non-printed materials

• Optional (for that premium feel): 6x2 round neodymium magnets - 4 per base.
• Make sure to check the polarity of the magnets in your base plates before inserting them!

Trivia

4 prototypes were printed and scrapped for being too utilitarian.

3 other concepts were scrapped for being over-complicated and difficult to print.

The Noctua colours were completely coincidental but I dig it.
