This is a storage box designed for the Bambu Lab H2D 40W laser module and air tube. 

The insert is a separate part, so you can print the box without the insert to store anything else, or even design your own custom insert to fit inside it. I will be creating more inserts for this case in the future.

If you'd prefer to not have the text on the lid, print this in one colour and the lid will still be printed flush (with no text)

Variants

There are two versions of this case available to download. Each has it's own print profile:

• Printed Padding - This version features a part which you screw into the lid which provides sprung padding to hold the laser securely in place. With this version you can just store the air tube placing it around the laser in the base.
• Tube Padding - This version allows you to screw two sections into the lid which holds the laser air tube. The air tube then acts as a rubberised padding for the Laser when the lid is closed.

Both the versions are exactly the same apart from the included fittings for the lid, so I've created the two profiles just for ease and convenience. 
 

Materials:

I've printed this entirely in PLA, so that or PETG is fine. However, you can print the insert in TPU if you wish for added protection.
 

BOM
In addition to the printed parts, this box also requires the following (linked in the BOM below the description):

• 4x 30mm M3 screws
• 2x 6 or 8mm M3 screws

Assembly Instructions

Once printed:

1. Screw your chosen padding into the lid using the two shorter M3 screws (ideally 6-8mm), ensuring the 3 grooves are aligned
2. Screw a 30mm M3 screw into the front catch on the base piece
3. Screw the clasp onto the front catch of the lid with another 30mm M3 screw
4. Screw the lid to the body using the last two M3 30mm screws
5. Place the insert inside the box (you may need to lower this down slowly as the tolerance is tight and air gets trapped if pushing it down quickly)
