A map pin designed to hold a 10mm NFC chip.

Idea: Have a world map as wall decoration with map markers, which can be scanned by smartphone to view images from that destination.

I just stumbled across an ad for [https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/memoried/memoried-the-smart-canvas-that-stores-your-travel-memories?lang=de](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/memoried/memoried-the-smart-canvas-that-stores-your-travel-memories?lang=de) and thought, that it's quite easy to do this yourself.

We already had a geographical world map in our living room, which we are using to mark destinations we have visited.

Additionally we use Immich ([https://immich.app/](https://immich.app/)) for cloud image management (so also for travel images).

So I just created the missing piece: A map pin, which may hold a NFC chip.

The provided map pin has a slot which fits a 1mm NFC chip.

In Immich I created albums for each travel and created a shared link to those.

I wrote this URL to a NFC chip, putted that one into a map marker and sticked (e.g. with patafix glue pads) that one to the map.
