The "Ghost Army," officially the 23rd Headquarters Special Troops, was a top-secret, mobile, multimedia deception unit in the U.S. Army during World War II. Their primary mission was to create illusions, like fake convoys and divisions, to mislead German forces about the location and strength of Allied troops.
