🧵 Coaster with Swappable Inserts

Do you love combining function with creativity and perhaps a touch of nostalgia? These customizable coasters let you personalize your table with vintage charm, seasonal flair, or meaningful artwork – all protected behind clear acrylic.

🧩 How It Works

Each coaster is made up of three parts:

• A 3D printed ring frame with internal threads
• A 100 mm (3.94 inch) round acrylic disc, 0.7–1 mm thick (0.028–0.039 inch) – this is your “glass”
• A 3D printed backplate that screws securely into the frame

To assemble:

1. Place the frame with the opening facing up
2. Drop in the clear disc (available here and probably lots of other places)
3. Add your decorative insert – a napkin, embroidery, drawing, photo, or print – with the visible side down
4. Carefully screw on the backplate using the included 3D printed tool

🖼️ The photos show the coaster assembled with a retro "Irma Kaffe" napkin insert – a lovely nod to Danish coffee nostalgia!

Note: Be mindful when screwing the backplate into the frame – take care to align the threads properly and avoid cross-threading.
