Hi there!
I often encounter situations in everyday life where I need a small knife. Whether it's for opening a package or for removing small support bits off of printed items. From now on, this little knife always accompanies me.
It is not allowed to leave home alone, i mean just look at it, it is still a baby! 👶 😂
I provide different print profiles for different materials and material combinations. From a single colored version that can be printed from 8 grams of PLA without AMS in 1,2 hours to more complicated versions that are printed from different materials.
This model uses a standard 9mm wide snap-off blade that should be easy to source, regardless of where you‘re located. No other hardware parts needed!

I recommend using the bambu „supertack“ plate for all profiles that are using PLA only or a combination from PLA and PETG HF.

The Textured PEI plate also works great, but needs to be cleaned immaculately before starting the print. If your PEI plate is not cleaned properly, the parts will not adhere well.

As you can see, it is absolutely possible to print the model on this plate type!
PLA is sufficient for occasional use of this model, but i highly recommend printing this locking clip (yellow parts) from PETG HF to make it last longer!

This clip has been designed so it needs a good amount of pressure to be unlocked so the blade does not extend accidentally.
Even if the short „handle“ comes off, the blade is still secured! Try it out with the printed blade that is included in the profile!
The support removal can be a bit tideous for the locking clip, a small screwdriver can help to get into the small gaps! Dont try to re-orient this part in the slicer, it will break when you use it if you do that!
All other parts can be printed from many different materials. I recommend using PLA or ABS GF because they are both really good on overhangs.
Let me know if you want to see a profile for other materials too!
All my profiles for a single knife also include a printed blade for testing. The profiles for five pieces do not include it!
Assembly is very easy and can be done in seconds! Look at the short Video in the Model pictures! No tools needed!
I hope you like it folks!
kind regards,
