The Offspring: Hex Coaster

This coaster design is inspired by the iconic band The Offspring, featuring three separate parts: the logo, a hex background, and the base. I designed it this way to minimize or even eliminate the need for color changes during printing. The separate base also allows you to experiment with different filament colors for a clean, contrasting outline.

Note:

This model includes an AMS and non-AMS versions:

• In the non-AMS version, the base, logo and hex pieces are all printed separately. The logo is printed separately so it can be fitted into the hex piece. It’s a tight press fit, but you can glue it in for a permanent hold if you prefer.
• The AMS version prints everything together in a single multi-color job, making use of your AMS for easy color management.

Included Print Profiles:

• Combined Parts: Print all parts together.
• Separate Parts: Print the base, logo, and hex pieces separately to assemble after print.

Dimensions: 100 x 100 x 4.2 mm

Recommended Print Settings:

• Layer Height: 0.2 mm
• Infill: 10%–20%
• Infill Pattern: Gyroid

Filaments Used:

• Bambu Basic PLA Yellow
• Bambu Basic PLA Red

Notes:

• The hex background piece fits snugly into the base without glue, so you can separate the pieces if you want. However, if you prefer a permanent finish, the hex piece can be glued into the base.
• Feel free to scale this model to any size you like — just be sure to scale all parts equally to keep them compatible.
