SEP 16: Knob open test
The open test on the knobs is available. In the print profile there are three new knobs and the standard one printed vertically.
The new knobs (2-arms, 2-arms with guard, 3-arms) are designed to be printed easily at 45°, in order to preserve a decent torsional strength.
The classic knob is printed vertically with the head on top, for maximum aesthetic quality. However, it produces threading with low torsional strength and requires a lot of support material that is difficult to remove. I am very interested in you feedback about this, so please let me know.
SEP 07: Foldmate is out!

A new stand. Not an upgraded version of Tiltmate, but rather a different stand with unique features and a stronger focus on portability.

What will happen with Tiltmate development?
In a few days I will upload a new test for the screws. Which means a print profile where you can try all the screws I tested during these weeks to solve the aesthetic issue of the current one. Your feedback will decide which one will replace it.
Also working on an XL version (taller). :)
UPDATE: (V2.1) Gridfinity base and QoL changes
- Added optional TPU feet for all the bases;
- Better right thread on the frame. This change was already in place in the last few weeks, but if you experience difficulties tightening the screw on the right, you may try printing the new one;
- Slightly bigger notches. The change only affect the plate, not the frame.
- Gridfinity base is available as a separate (totally optional) print profile. It also include a couple of accessories: A phone holder and an Apple pencil stand. Base and accessories require magnets (Ø6x2mm). 16 for the entire base, 4 for each accessory.

UPDATE: (V2) Stop notches version available
As announced, the Stop notches version is out. This version provides small notches to secure the plate even more. It works pretty well in my tests, so I strongly recommend this over the free tilt one. It offers much more safety at very little cost (5° inclination steps).

Introduction
This 3D printable tablet stand is designed to offer both height and tilt adjustability, making it ideal for a wide range of use cases, from reading recipes in the kitchen to working on your tablet with an external keyboard.
Built with strength in mind, the stand’s stable base includes cable routing slots, allowing you to charge your tablet or connect it to other devices while in use.
The tilting plate is secured using two side screws that press the plate against the frame. During my testing, this mechanism has proven sufficient to hold an 11" iPad Pro (with a folio case) in place for several hours without shifting or requiring over-tightening.
The screws are printed at an angle to improve torsional strength. While vertical printing may look cleaner and be faster, angled printing significantly reduces the risk of the screw threads breaking inside the frame, something that could otherwise require reprinting the entire frame.
A version with tilt-stop notches is in development to offer extra safety and prevent accidental slippage. However, these stops reduce the number of possible tilt angles, so I plan to provide both versions for download.
This prototype has been tested using PLA, but for better mechanical performance, I recommend printing the frame, plate, and screws in PETG.
Assembly Instructions
- Insert the frame into the base (and secure it with a screw on the back of the base);
- Place the plate around the joint of the frame;
Secure the plate to the frame using the two remaining screws.
