Descrição
This is a controller mount for Quest 3 controllers that allows you to quickly mount (magnetically, with a mechanism, or with a screw) and remove them from various accessories like stocks, sports grips, etc.
I've designed a stock, putter grip, golf club grip, and beat saber designs that I'll publish soon. I plan to upload those as remixable models so people can modify as they'd like!
Of course if you'd like to design your own accessory that this attachment connects to - go for it! I've uploaded the geometry for that as a STEP file so there's a good starting point.
This part must be printed in PETG. You will need a .5" Diameter .25" tall cylindrical magnet. Those can be found on amazon here.
Important: After printing make sure you free up the “clip” feature that snaps around the controller. This can get slightly bonded together during printing.
To install: Remove battery cover from controller, thread the hand loop through the opening in the Mount, unclip the clip on the Mount, press the controller into the Mount, clip the clip feature on the Mount to secure controller in place.
To remove: Undo the clip and pull up on the controller while twisting it slightly in the direction that the clip opened. This takes a little practice but is easy once you do it a few times!
Clip shown below:

I've also included a small part that can accept a heat set insert. Possible to use either an M6 or ¼-20 heat set insert. Make sure you press the plastic piece in first, then set the heat set insert from the inside of the grip. If you use a threaded insert you cannot use a magnet as well.
I went through a pretty ridiculous number of iterations to get this right but of course if you notice something that could be improved or modified… please let me know!
Disclaimer: Print and use at your own risk. Not intended for use with high velocity swinging, hitting, or throwing games. The printer of the files is ultimately responsible for damage to your controllers and the objects & humans in the environment around them.
