Description

Inspired by the shape of a wrapped candy, this elegant night lamp adds a playful yet modern touch to any room.
Designed and printed with the Bambu Lab A1, it's made using white JAYO PLA to create a seamless, translucent shell that glows beautifully when lit. You can find assembly instructions in the next chapter.

The design is lightweight, easy to print, and perfect for ambient lighting lovers or anyone wanting to show off their printer’s capabilities.
 

NOTE: I plan to add a profile for Bambu Lab Lamp Kit 001 soon.

NOTE: Although the light bulb does not have a direct contact with the shell, you must be cautious with the watts. I have tested with 7W led light bulb and it does not heat up to the point where it will start deforming the PLA shell. If you happen to use higher watts for your bulb, please be cautious and test it thoroughly by supervising the lamp for a couple of hours.

Putting it together

• We start with the three hardware items I described in the description. I have already connected the cable with the lamp holder socket beforehand. The white circle object is one of the two printed objects. It serves as a holder for our lamp holder inside the lampshade.

• Grab the E14 lamp holder socket and unscrew the ring that comes with it. This ring is important part of the assembly as it will keep the lamp holder in place.

• Put the lamp holder socket into the 3D printed lamp holder that is provided in this profile.

• Push it through until its bottom hit the bottom of the 3D printed part.

• Place the lamp holder cable through its designated hole

• Screw the ring from the top of the lamp holder socket and tighten it until it fits in the indentation on the top. That keeps the whole thing in place and won't be pulled by gravity.

• Screw the LED light bulb

• Find the hole at the bottom of the lampshade

• The lampshade has a hole at the bottom to push the 3D printed socket we just assembled. It is a tight fit - so a bit of friction can be felt but it is purposely designed that way.
