Modern Floating Displacement Rain Gauge

This 6-inch rain gauge is designed with numbers exactly one inch tall for a modern and unique look. There are chunky and slim versions of the numbers so that you can print according to your preference. The bracket is designed for #6 wood screws (I recommend 1-inch length), but there is also a stand that can be placed in the ground if you prefer a screwless mounting method.
Check out my other design for a more traditional displacement gauge in inches or centimeters.
Assembly Notes
Note the two ridges in the housing (indicated with blue arrows below). The front, flat face of the buoy should touch these ridges. They serve to prevent the numbers from spinning around and facing the wrong direction.

Printing Notes
This design prints best with 3 walls and 0.2mm layer height. The buoy portion of the gauge must be printed with decreased infill (I recommend 3% infill) so that it is light enough to float. I use modifiers to accomplish this in my .3mf files, but if you do not know how to do that, the design should still print acceptably if you just set the global infill to 3%.
PETG is going to hold up the best to sun and water, but the design should work with PLA if you prefer.
