Ultimate Microgreens System
Benefits:
- Mold-free
- Low maintenance
- Hydroponic
- Modular & flexible
- Gridfinity compatible
Materials Needed:
- Water tank
- Growing grid
- Lid (2 variants)
- Paper towel
- Tap water
- Spray bottle
- Microgreens seeds
Instructions:
- Fill the tank with water up to the marked level.
- Insert the growing grid.
- Place a cut-to-fit paper towel on top and soak with water.
- Evenly distribute seeds, leaving space for swelling.
- Mist the seeds lightly with water.
- Cover with a lid:
- Flat lid: recommended for peas and broccoli
- Solid lid: works best for radish and daikon
- Optionally, add weight on top.
- Mist daily as needed.
- Once all seeds have sprouted (typically when the lid lifts), remove the lid and place the setup under a light source or near a window.
Tip:
Smaller grids can be placed crosswise in larger tanks. This allows for staggered growing and easier water refilling.
Printing Recommendation:
For optimal results, print all parts in PETG. Use light-blocking filament to ensure proper darkness during the germination phase and to reduce the risk of algae growth in the water.
The growing grids should be printed with supports to ensure clean overhangs and structural stability.
