This is my take on a Basque Spindle, or Txaotile. You can either print it in two parts and then glue it together, with your shaft in between them, or print the “rounded” option, which has extra strength in the middle.
Don't skimp on the infill, this thing should be fairly heavy and definitely needs to be solid enough to get knocked around. I use 30-45% infill.
The hole in the middle fits a bamboo skewer. Make sure you're gluing it in point down, with and inch or so below the whorl.
