The model represents bases for diffuser covers designed to fit WS2812B LED strips. Each base holds up to 12 diffusers, and each diffuser end is designed with a length that allows them to be connected in series, creating segments of 12, 24, 36, or more. The base is printed with standard settings, using a simple 0.2 mm layer height. The diffusers, which fit snugly into the base, must be printed with the “fuzzy skin” feature enabled in the slicer profile. This “fuzzy skin” setting ensures that the diffusers fit perfectly when mounting 24 LEDs into a precisely routed wooden groove, holding them firmly in place without the need for any adhesive.

If the diffusers are printed without the “fuzzy skin” option, a slight looseness may occur, and in such cases, I recommend using cyanoacrylate glue. I also experimented with adding a thin slot at the bottom of the base to accommodate the LED strip, but this compromised the structural integrity of the base. Therefore, for those using a similar setup with a routed groove in wood, no additional space between the strip and the base is necessary. Variations are, of course, welcome. Happy printing!
