Project Summary I've been working on several projects that utilize DC motors, which led me to purchase a ready-made motor control module (see BOM). After completing one of these projects, I realized it would be beneficial to enhance the module by adding a jack socket. This addition allows for easy disconnection of the motor without the need to unplug individual wires, significantly improving the module's reusability across different projects.

Cooling Solution To prevent the control board from overheating, I am designing a new control box. This box is specifically designed to fit two 4010 fans or blowers, providing efficient active cooling. The overall design prioritizes a clean and modular structure, aiming for a neat appearance and simplifying future maintenance.

Wire Management The wiring is secured internally by the structure of the box. This design ensures the connections remain tight and prevents them from becoming loose due to impact or accidental pulling, enhancing reliability.

Note: While connecting the PCB to the power supply and motor is very straightforward—involving a switch for direction control (easily reversible if needed) and a knob for speed adjustment—some basic electrical skills are still recommended for proper wire termination.

• Insert the directional switch into the square opening and the VR (speed) knob into the round opening on the housing.
• Insert the fan(s) or blower(s) into their designated slot(s).

• Install the PCB within the housing. Connect all necessary wires: from the directional switch, VR knob, fan(s), power input, and the motor output jack socket to the appropriate terminals on the PCB.

• Connect the motor cables to the jack socket terminals and route the power input cables. Secure the motor output jack socket and the fixing plate using screws. (Note: This part is designed for a tight fit, which helps prevent connections from loosening due to impact or pulling.)
