Benchy Swinging Pendulum. This is a simple double weighted pendulum system. The counterweight on top “counters” the swing velocity of the pendulum mass (in this case, benchy), to make it oscillate at a more enjoyable speed. 

1 x Maker's supply Micro Steel Deep Groove Ball Bearings (EA014) is used. It gives the swing minimal friction, reduces side movements, making the swing smoother and longer.
 

EASY CUSTOMIZATION AND REMIXING:
The parts are made modular so you can print in your prefered colour combination without AMS.

I noticed there are a lot of really nice benchy submissions, so I made the pendulum arm assembly to be standalone and modular, so that you can fit out your personal favourite benchy (or other figurines) as the pendulum mass. You can also design your own counterweight. Since the components are modular, and the connectors are designed simple and straight forward. Will be exciting to see everybody's take on the pendulum!

For this design, I have opted to use a scaled-up original Benchy and designed a "10-year commemorating medal" counterweight. But feel free to remix your own!

In this case, I used @stigern's Kitty Benchy as an example.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

All the materials you need. Maker's supply EA014 - 1 x ball bearing
Put the pendulum pivot into the ball bearing. It should be relatively easy to put in.
How it looks like when it's inserted. Make sure it is centered.
Fix the pendulum swing arm onto the outer rim of the ball bearing. This should be quite tight fit. But it fits :)

Connect your favourite Benchy to the shorter side of the arm. The shorter side is marked with the letter “B” to indicate it should be at the bottom.
Insert the counterweight on to the top of the arm. This is how it looks like after the entire pendulum arm is assembled.
Fit the entire arm assembly onto the top of the body. It should be quite a tight fit. Push it in so that it's flush and make sure the pendulum arm is well balanced.
