Descrição

The mason beetle is an extremely important insect for gardens and agricultural crops because it acts as a pollinator. It is crucial for the growth and yield of plants, thus increasing the productivity of orchards and fields. Why is the mason bee important?

Pollination:

Mason bees visit many different plant species, pollinating their flowers and ensuring the development of fruit and seeds.

Increased yields:

Thanks to effective pollination, the presence of mason bees can increase crop yields by up to 60%.

Natural pollinators:

Mason bees are part of the ecosystem and help maintain diversity by pollinating both crop and wild plants.

Help in fruit growing and agriculture:

Fruit growers and farmers appreciate their work and are increasingly installing mason bee houses on their farms to increase yields.

Easy to breed:
Mason bees are relatively easy to breed, even without specialist beekeeping knowledge.

Key-season activity:
Mason bees are active in spring when most plants are in bloom, making them effective pollinators during peak demand.

Non-aggressive insects:

Mason bees are docile and non-aggressive towards humans, which makes them easy to breed in gardens and crops.

In summary, the mason bee is an important part of the ecosystem and a significant factor influencing plant yields. Its presence in the garden and in agricultural fields contributes to healthy plant growth and increased food production.

Beehive consists of three sections of the culture patch:

From the bottom:
  1.  8 mm holes – more females hatch
               2.  7 mm holes – gender balance is achieved

3.  6 mm holes – more males hatch.

and on top the hatching box.

Place the Beehive in a quiet place not exposed to sunlight all day.

How to use the Beehive.

In late autumn, dismantle the Beehive. Gently remove the culture patches one by one. Transfer the cocoons to the hatching box ( There are many videos on YouTube showing how to do this.) Wash everything thoroughly and leave for another year. Leave the hatching box indoors in a cool place for the winter. Protect the shelf from mice. In early spring, mount the Beehive in the garden. Place the hatching box in it, remembering to dismantle the outlet cover first.

Enjoy your own bees and abundant harvests.

The project requires a lot of filament but was intended to be solid. If you print it in PETG and take care of it, it will last you many years.

Good luck
